Spring Collections

We have had a busy Spring, with demand outstripping supply, so as ever if you are able to help fill some pencil cases, please get in touch.

We would like to thank Corbet School who will again be collecting for Shrewsbury Foodbank, it is wonderful to see some schools supporting us by organising an annual collection of stationery for their local foodbank or charity.

We are delighted to welcome several new schools onboard – Powick Primary C of E School who will be supplying pencil cases to Worcester Foodbank and Woodborough Woods Foundation C of E Aided Foundation School who are currently doing the Archbishop of York Youth Trust’s Young Leaders Award which focuses on charity work.  Our friends at The Ink Pot who have supplied us with their wonderful journals over the years have also introduced our initiative to The Oratory School and are organising the collection there.  We are also so excited to collaborate with an informal art group for children run by the wonderful Eilidh in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The photo above shows how enthusiastic this lovely bunch are and they will be sending their filled pencil cases to Aberlour Children’s Charity who work with families and young people in their area – Eilidh wrote the following:

‘We have a wee article too in our little local paper today.  Two of our children’s parents run the Crown Hotel that’s mentioned so any stationery anyone will hand in directly to them, and with knowing everyone in and around the town it will be some school friends helping with filling a pencil case if they wanted to.  We’re also mentioning on our Facebook pages when the kids will be out and about locally like at our big Spring Fling art event across the region raising awareness and doing their bit.”

Another big thank you goes to PTA+ Magazine and Families North London Magazine for their brilliant articles about our initiative, which will hopefully help to spread the word.

We are just getting organised for the London Stationery Show 2023 where we hope to meet stationery suppliers and likeminded people with sustainable ideas in the stationery world.  We are grateful to Versapak International as ever for their extra supply of pencil cases which will be given out at the Stationery Show to raise awareness.  We hope to be able to support The Caring Family Foundation with companies filling these cases to give to London children suffering with the cost of living crisis.  We will keep you posted with news and photographs.
